Baan Saan Rak Project
Baan Saan Rak or “House of Love” is a non religious and nongovernmental Maelao located in north of Thailand near the Myanmar border. Baan Saan Rak is an orphanage wich cares for children at risk on social exclusion. Many of the children are orphans but also from poor families, single-parent or destructured homes. There are a total of twenty two children of the Akha and Thai ethnic Japanese. Background Baan Saan Rak was founded in September 2003 by Pimpam Kaseriwan a Thai woman who worked as social worker several years until she decided to start his own project in his hometown. When this Project began Jit was associated.
